Internationals get a taste of AFL
Around 40 international students from NMIT were involved in a Carlton football clinic on Thursday afternoon.
Those who took part in the program were newly arrived migrants studying English language classes. Despite being completely foreign to the game, the participants enjoyed learning how to kick, mark and handball the oddly shaped ball!
This opportunity was created in association with Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) as part of their settle grants program. MRC caters for the needs of newly arrived and established migrants and refugees.
