Two Carlton players have earned themselves a spot in AFL Media’s Round 6 ‘Team of the Week’ following the Blues’ 19-point triumph over the Swans at the MCG on Saturday.

Reining John Nicholls medallist Sam Docherty was selected in the team as a half-back alongside Eagle Jeremy McGovern and Saint Dylan Roberton.

In another dominant performance from the youngster, Docherty amassed 39 possessions and managed an 84 per cent disposal efficiency to feature in the best 22 for the second time this season.

At the opposite end of the ground, small forward Matthew Wright booted four goals to earn his place in the Round 6 team as a half-forward in the company of Port Adelaide’s Chad Wingard and North Melbourne’s Ben Brown. 

The Blues will look for another strong performance from the pair when they return to the ‘G to line-up against arch-rival Collingwood from 2:10pm on Saturday 6 May.
