OVERVIEW

After being recruited to Carlton with pick No.59 in the 2016 NAB AFL Draft, Cameron Polson added speed and pressure to the Blues’ list.

Learning the ropes of professional football, the 19-year-old paved his way as a midfielder in the VFL before making his AFL debut against Port Adelaide in Round 5.

On debut for the Northern Blues in Round 1, the youngster collected 28 disposals and 15 handball receives in an impressive first outing.

He went on to play 10 matches for Northern in 2017, but was restricted to just one AFL match with a shoulder injury hampering the second half of his debut season.

Expected to be fit for the beginning of his second pre-season, Carlton fans can look forward to watching Polson return to the action in 2018.
