The Blues could blood their seventh AFL debutant for 2017, after Harry McKay was named on the extended interchange bench ahead of Sunday’s clash against Brisbane at the Gabba.
The young forward joins Billie Smedts, Dennis Armfield, David Cuningham and Tom Williamson as possible inclusions, while Dale Thomas and Harrison Macreadie are confirmed additions to the side which lost to the Bulldogs on Sunday.
Defender Alex Silvagni will miss with a knee complaint, while Ciaran Byrne (groin) and Dylan Buckley (hamstring) will also be sidelined. Liam Sumner has been omitted from the side.
The Blues face the young Lions at the Gabba at 4:40pm on Sunday afternoon, with the final 22-man team to be named at 5pm AEST on Friday.
