Carlton has been forced into making three changes for Sunday's blockbuster against Richmond at the MCG.
Youngsters Tom Williamson (back), Zac Fisher (achilles) and David Cuningham (adductor) have been ruled out with injury, replaced by Billie Smedts, Nick Graham and Jarrod Pickett.
The incoming trio impressed for the Northern Blues against Werribee at the weekend, with Pickett leading the charge.
The 20-year-old recorded 17 disposals, five tackles and two goals in a performance which earned high praise from Northern Blues coach Josh Fraser.
"I think it was his best game for the Club, certainly at VFL level," Fraser said.
"He was really exciting when he was near it, played game time on the wing which was great for him and he covered the ground as good as he has. He kicked two crucial goals as well."
