49. Dennis Armfield
Stats: 15 disposals, 5 marks, 2 goals
From the coach: He played a variety of roles and his contest and effort were good: that made him one of our better performers. He didn’t adapt to using the ball in the conditions as much as we would’ve liked, but he kicked two important goals and his leadership continues to set the benchmark.
56. Andrew Gallucci
Stats: 4 disposals, 5 tackles, 1 goal
From the coach: A game of missed opportunities in a few ways. There were some fumbles at crucial stages but his running patterns were good and we saw some growth in that area. We think his game is building in the right direction, hopefully he’s not far away from grabbing hold of a game.
34. Jesse Glass-McCasker
Stats: 5 disposals, 2 rebound 50s
From the coach: Jesse didn’t adapt quickly enough to the conditions with the wind and lost positioning a few times. When he found himself in good positions, he was able to impact the contest. Given the last two weeks, we back him to reset himself and go again this week.
50. Daniel Gorringe
Stats: 15 disposals, 7 tackles, 38 hitouts
From the coach: I thought he competed quite well with 30-plus hitouts. He took some nice marks around the ground. There are still contests which he needs to halve, but on the surface he gave us a real presence.
48. Kristian Jaksch
Stats: 9 disposals, 3 inside 50s, 1 goal
From the coach: KJ was inconsistent throughout the day. He has to be able to bring the ball to ground and let our smalls go to work when we kick the ball in long. He also had an opportunity in front of goal which he missed that we expect a player of his quality to nail. I think valuing the contest more will be important to him taking his game to the next level.

80. Matthew Korcheck
Stats: 1 disposal, 25 hitouts
From the coach: Not a big impact from Matty — he had some glimpses in the ruck where he was able to palm effectively to our midfielders, but the conditions played havoc for someone who hasn’t played the game a lot and he found it a challenge. We think his upside is big and when he’s it his aggressive best, he’s very effective for us.
76. Kym Lebois
Stats: 9 disposals, 3 tackles
From the coach: I thought his start was really encouraging and lively, where he got his hands on the ball and also could’ve been used at other times but wasn’t. We saw enough to suggest his form is turning in the right direction.

24. Rhys Palmer
Stats: 18 disposals, 7 tackles, 4 inside 50s
From the coach: He had more of an impact as it went on. He’s working hard on his game when he doesn’t have the ball and there was good evidence of that on the weekend. Given his experience and quality, we expect him to lead the way from start to finish.
10. Jarrod Pickett
Stats: 9 disposals, 4 tackles, 3 inside 50s
From the coach: He had some moments again. It wasn’t a great day for our small forwards in particular but he showed enough in his chase and tackle efforts to show he was up for it. Making the most of it is important for Jarrod, whether it’s stamping out little fumbles or being meticulous in front of goal.
47. Ciaran Sheehan
Stats: 6 disposals, 3 rebound 50s
From the coach: Not a huge impact from 'Gussy'. It was a strange day with conditions and it wasn’t a day where a lot of possessions were racked up but he was solid in the contest. He didn’t have the usual impact with ball in hand. We’re focusing hard on small parts of his game which we think will be really beneficial for him
5. Billie Smedts
Stats: 24 disposals, 6 clearances, 4 tackles
From the coach: His game was quite solid: he had some strong tackling efforts and he was generally clean and composed around the ground. We thought that on the whole, he was one of our better contributors.
55. Liam Sumner
Stats: 11 disposals, 3 inside 50s, 1 goal
From the coach: Similar to our other small forwards, he showed some good signs off the ball with his running but he didn’t get on the end of it. He needs to value his opportunity in the contest, and he could have had a better day given he finished with one goal from three shots. We weren’t meticulous enough in front of goals as a collective.
