Irishman Ciaran Byrne will make his long-awaited return to senior football after being named in the Blues’ final 22-man side to face the Western Bulldogs at the MCG on Sunday afternoon.
The 22-year-old ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in Round 15 last year, overcoming a 12-month rehabilitation process.
Dylan Buckley will line up for his first senior game in 2017 after being named in the final side, while mature defender Alex Silvagni will also make his return from a knee injury.
Blaine Boekhorst and Nick Graham make up Carlton's five inclusions, while Harrison Macreadie replaces David Cuningham (hip) as a listed emergency.
