Carlton recruit Sam Petrevski-Seton will be sidelined for approximately four weeks after suffering a minor quad strain.
The 18-year-old experienced discomfort during Wednesday's training session and scans have revealed a minor strain in his left quad.
“It’s obviously a disappointing setback for Sam who is in the middle of his first AFL pre-season campaign,” Head of Football Andrew McKay said.
“He is a fantastic young man and an exciting prospect for us long-term, so we look forward to Sam making a full recovery and hopeful he will still be available for Round 1 selection.”
The Blues will kick off their JLT Community Series campaign on Saturday 25 February against Melbourne at Casey Fields.
