As the 2018 AFL Grand Final draws closer, Carlton IN Business celebrated the last Saturday in September by hosting its Grand Final Luncheon, proudly presented by Virgin Australia and CUA.
Combining business and sport, more than 1,300 guests packed the Melbourne Room at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Thursday afternoon.
In his busiest week of the year, AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan took time out of his schedule to attend the event and was a special guest speaker. Taking part in a Q&A, McLachlan talked about commercial innovation at league headquarters, the next phase of the AFLW competition and recognised Carlton IN Business as a premier corporate network.

An all-star footy panel comprising of Carlton champion Chris Judd, Brisbane great Jonathan Brown, Swans premiership player Michael O’Loughlin and Sam McClure, analysed key match-ups in the lead-up to Saturday’s decider between Collingwood and West Coast.

Fox Footy’s Neroli Meadows was the afternoon’s host, while guests were left in stitches as comedians Tegan Higginbotham, Adam Rozenbachs, Dilruk Jayasinha and Titus O’Reily took part in a comedy debate.
Live music also entertained those in attendance as The Voices Supergroup – a collaboration between Taxiride’s Jason Singh, Boom Crash Opera’s Dale Ryder, X Factor winner Reece Mastin and Choirboys' Mark Gable – performed a number of sets.
