YOUNG Blues forward Charlie Curnow is free to play against GWS on Sunday, after the AFL Tribunal overturned the Match Review Officer’s decision to hand the 21-year-old a one-match ban for striking.
Curnow was charged with striking Steven May following Saturday night’s victory over the Gold Coast Suns at Metricon Stadium.
On Tuesday, the Blues announced they would appeal the decision with the Tribunal finding Curnow guilty of careless conduct as opposed to intentional.
Instead, Curnow has been ordered to pay a $2000 fine.
The Blues face the Giants at Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon with the bounce at 1:10pm. Click here to purchase your tickets today.
