THE Halls Creek Cowboy sent Carlton supporters on a thrill ride on Saturday night.
Sam Petrevski-Seton enjoyed what was arguably his most complete performance in the win against the Gold Coast Suns, with the stats to back it up.
As well as six score involvements and five inside 50s, his 26 disposals were the most he’s amassed in his career. Nine of them came in Carlton’s third-quarter burst when the Blues piled on seven goals.
It was Petrevski-Seton’s ability to control a slippery ball when the majority couldn’t which stood out at Metricon Stadium.
His performance drew comparisons to his breakout game in 2017, where he recorded three Brownlow votes against Collingwood in similar conditions.
While Patrick Cripps may be the overwhelming favourite to record the three votes on the weekend, Petrevski-Seton’s game was another highlight for Bluebaggers.

Along with emerging midfielders Paddy Dow and Matthew Kennedy, senior coach Brendon Bolton paid credit to Petrevski-Seton after the game.
“I thought it was a really strong game from him,” Bolton told the media post-match.
“What I was most pleased about was his contested possession — he won a lot of ball in traffic.
“We’d all love if development was totally linear, where it’s perfect and every week you’re a bit better.
“He’s been churning away, he’s had some inconsistencies this year but that game just showed some of his talent.”
Remarkably, Cripps and Petrevski-Seton are the only two to play every AFL game for Carlton in 2018. The AFL average per team is 6.7.
Additionally, Petrevski-Seton is the ninth-youngest player of the 121 that have played every game this season across the competition. The 20-year-old has also played the most consecutive games at Carlton as things stand.
And with 26 disposals in his 26th consecutive game, Blues fans will be looking forward to similar performances from the man in the No.5 for years to come.
