Take a look at these lesser-known facts ahead of Carlton's clash with Greater Western Sydney at Etihad Stadium on Sunday:
- This weekend will be the fifth-straight time Carlton has included 10 players aged 21 or under. Paddy Dow is the youngest at 18 years and 293 days.
- Caleb Marchbank has been on both sides of Blues-Giants clashes, and has emerged victorious in both colours. He enjoyed his first AFL win against Carlton in his fourth game, before last year’s memorable one-point win wearing the navy blue against his old club.
- Marc Murphy and Kade Simpson are the only two Blues in Sunday’s team who played in the Club’s first game against GWS in 2012. Simpson was acting captain that day.
- Although Jacob Weitering will miss due to a corked quad, there will be no shortage of talent on Sunday. In total, 24 players (12 either side) were taken in the first round of their respective drafts: GWS’ Brett Deledio was the first in 2004 (pick No.1).
- Deledio is one of 14 players who started their careers at another club. He is one of six GWS players to be traded or drafted into the club, while Carlton has eight.
- Games between these two sides have either ended as thrillers or blow-outs on the scoreboard. Carlton won by one point last season, while GWS triumphed by eight points in 2014. The other five games have seen the final margin sit at over 10 goals.
- Just 10 players who featured in last year's corresponding game will feature for Carlton on Sunday.
- Seven Blues will play their first game against the Giants, with Matthew Kennedy and Jarrod Pickett to come up against their old side for the first time. The others are Dow, Harry McKay, Lochie O’Brien, Sam Petrevski-Seton and Cameron Polson.
- Shaun Hampson, Matthew Kreuzer and Andrew Walker are the three individuals who have polled three votes for Carlton against GWS. Hampson (50 games) and Kreuzer (150) were both enjoying milestones.
