Recognised for his breakout season, Carlton forward Charlie Curnow has been named in the 2018 AFL Players’ 22under22 team.
Selected on the field in the forward line, the final team was announced at the AFL Players’ MVP Awards in Melbourne on Thursday night.
Marking Curnow’s first appearance in the 22under22 team, he stands alongside Saint Jade Gresham, Swan Ben Ronke, Lion Eric Hipwood and Collingwood’s Jordan De Goey and Jaidyn Stephenson in the forward line.
To be eligible for selection, players must be aged 22 years and under for the entirety of the season, including the finals series.
Now in its sixth year, 22under22 is the industry’s only recognised fan-voted award and provides the footy public with the authority to select the final team.
In 2018, the youngest Curnow continued to add special moments to his highlights reel, including a high-flying Mark of the Year nomination against Collingwood in Round 14.
