‘NOT in this house.’
After 24 years of membership, Jacqueline Joyce Hunt is a self-described “fanatical” Carlton supporter.
For Hunt’s four children, there was only one choice when it came to which AFL side to support: Carlton, or you’re out.
“My youngest came home in prep and said to me, ‘Mum, I think I’m not going to follow Carlton anymore,’ and I said, ‘Oh yeah, who are you going to follow?’” Hunt said.
The choice was a heated one: traditional rival Essendon.
“I said, ‘Okay let’s go upstairs, pack your bags because there’s only one team in this house and it ain’t Essendon’,” she said.

With 24 years of memories behind her as a Blues member, it was no easy task for Hunt to pinpoint her favourite moment.
However, she settled on a victory which is the most recent finals win in Navy Blue.
“My favourite Carlton memory is the 2013 elimination final against Richmond,” she said.
“We finished ninth and we came back from 30 odd points down to beat Richmond.”
But a favourite player? That was the easy choice for Hunt.
“In the 24 years that I’ve supported Carlton, my favourite has got to be Stephen Kernahan. He was just a great leader and a great captain,” she said.
