A LARGE contingent of Carlton’s 2018 draft class will feature for the Northern Blues today.
In the VFL side’s opening practice match of 2019, Finbar O’Dwyer, Ben Silvagni and Liam Stocker have all been named in the squad to take on Port Melbourne.
The trio made its way to the Blues via the 2018 NAB AFL Draft, and they’ll run out in blue for the first time today.
They are currently joined by Patrick Kerr as the Carlton contingent in today’s game, with the line-up subject to change.

The squad does not include the emergencies for Carlton’s JLT side, which will be named closer to the beginning of the game.
From a VFL perspective, captain Tom Wilson will be joined in midfield by Sam Fisher — the two placed first and second in the 2018 Laurie Hill Trophy. 2018 vice captains Mason Blakey, Kane Keppel and Marcus Stavrou have also been named.
The game at Ikon Park begins at 3:45pm, with the match brought forward by 15 minutes to allow for extended breaks. Fans will need a valid ticket to the JLT Community Series match between Carlton and Essendon for entry.
