CARLTON will return to La Trobe University for the second time this season when they face Hawthorn in Round 10 of the 2019 VFLW season.
The Blues will be looking for their second win of the season after a narrow defeat up north against the Thunder last weekend.
First bounce will be at 11am with entry and parking free at La Trobe University Sports Ground.
Last time they met:
The Blues were in enemy territory last time these two teams met, travelling to Box Hill City. It was the Hawks who would finish the day celebrating recording a 51-point victory.
It was tough day for the Blues against the eventual premiers, with Natalie Plane our best, with Celine Moody and Darcy Vescio kicking the majors for the day.
Some big ins for this weekend's clash.

Players to watch: Gab Pound
In just her second game of the VFLW season, the 2019 AFLW All-Australian collected 27 disposals across half-back, and showed her trademark class and poise against the NT Thunder.
Pound was at her tenacious best, stopping many of the Thunder’s attack with her tackling, pressure acts and desperation.
La Trobe University Sports Ground is a large oval and Pound’s execution by hand and foot will be ever so important against the Hawks coming out of defence.
Opposition to watch: Rosie Dillon
The Hawks’ vice-captain has been in fine form so far in 2019. In last weekend’s loss to the Cats, Dillon booted a major and was named the Hawks’ best.
Dillon has great speed and skills with the football, making her damaging if she can get out in open space. Her speed and tackling strength makes her a massive threat to the opposition.
Shannon’s say:
“They are an experienced team who are also coming off a loss so we will be expecting them to come out strong, our girls will need to be switched on right game right from the first bounce.
“The narrow loss for us last weekend showed great effort but we didn’t control the ball for as long as we would of liked, that will be a big focus for us.”
