CARLTON will aim to go one better against Richmond on Saturday after going down by just seven points against ladder-leader Collingwood by just seven points in Round 13.
The venue and time has been changed for Saturday’s game, with the Blues now hosting the Tigers at Ikon Park, with the game kicking off at 1pm.
The VFL and AFL Blues will also face Richmond, with both matches taking place on Sunday.
Last time they met:
The Blues recorded a comprehensive 41-point win over Richmond at Ikon Park when these two teams last met in 2018.
Darcy Vescio led the way with two majors while Sarah Hosking was at her very best, kicking a goal and taking home coach Shannon McFerran’s nod as best-on-ground.
Gab Pound, Chloe Dalton and Courteney Bromage were also key contributors on the day.
Player to watch: Katie Loynes
Loynes has played just two VFLW games for the season but her impact is already being felt.
The 2018 equal AFLW Best & Fairest has averaged 13.5 disposals from her two outings this season, while her trademark pressure around the contest and relentless pursuit of the opposition saw her reach eight tackles against the Magpies.
Her on-field leadership will prove invaluable when the Blues come up against the third-placed Tigers.

Opposition to watch: Sabrina Frederick
Frederick is one of many new additions to Richmond’s VFLW line-up and has been consistent in her five games.
The former Brisbane AFLW forward has kicked seven goals from her five games, and is also averaging just under 10 disposals a game.
Getting her first taste of victory in her new colours in Round 13, Frederick will be keen to help her team find another win against the Blues this weekend.
Shannon’s say:
“They’re a much-improved team this year. Obviously, we played them here last year and we were able to get the four points.
“I think this year they’ve recruited well and have a lot more experience and some more structure and a good game plan so we’re looking forward to the contest.”
