The nominees for the 2019 AFLW Players’ Most Valuable Player Awards have been revealed, with three Blues receiving the nod.

Leading the way with three award nominations is Carlton skipper Brianna Davey, who has been nominated for MVP, Best Captain and Most Courageous in a stellar return from her knee reconstruction.

She’s joined by Carlton’s first selection in last season’s draft, with Madison Prespakis unsurprisingly nominated for both the MVP award as well as the Best First Year Player award.

Defensive general Kerryn Harrington has capped off an impressive season with her nomination for MVP.

All three players featured earlier this month in the All-Australian 40 player squad, alongside defender Gab Pound.

Players will be recognised at a bespoke event on Monday 1 April, and then again alongside their male colleagues at the AFL Players’ Association’s MVP Awards in late August.

MVP: Brianna Davey, Kerryn Harrington, Madison Prespakis
Best Captain: Brianna Davey
Most Courageous: Brianna Davey
Best First Year: Madison Prespakis
