Carlton midfielder Sina Mason has been suspended for two matches by the VFLW Match Review Panel for Rough Conduct (dangerous tackle) following Saturday’s season opener against the Casey Demons.
The incident took place during the third quarter at Casey Fields and was classified as Careless Conduct, High Impact and High Contact.
Mason was initially offered a three-match ban but with an early guilty plea the penalty was reduced to two matches.
Carlton will be without Mason for their two matches against the Southern Saints and Essendon but will be available for the Club’s first home match at La Trobe University against the NT Thunder.
