CARLTON midfielder Ed Curnow has been charged with careless contact with an umpire by the Match Review Officer following Sunday’s game against West Coast.
The incident occurred during the third quarter, when Curnow made contact with umpire Cameron Dore at Marvel Stadium.
The veteran Blue has been handed a $1,500 fine, which can be reduced to $1,000 with an early plea.
He will be free to play when the Blues take on the Tigers this Sunday at the MCG.
The Club has until 11am tomorrow to respond to the charge.
