While it’s probably unlikely a Carlton player will be walking away with Charlie at tonight’s Brownlow Medal, two Carlton players are in strong contention for other awards.
Levi Casboult was shortlisted as a finalist for the AFL’s Lifebroker Mark of the Year, with the winner to be announced tonight.
Casboult is in the running with his spectacular grab in the second quarter of the Round 13 match against Hawthorn at the MCG.
The mark was a highlight in a big night for the 24-year-old, who went on to finish the match with a four-goal haul.
Meanwhile vice-captain Kade Simpson has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Jim Stynes Community Leadership Award.
Simpson has been nominated for his work with children with Down syndrome, after earlier this year being named as an official ambassador for Down Syndrome Victoria.
