MATTHEW Kreuzer will make his return to action via the VFL this Sunday.
Alongside fellow returnee Darcy Lang, the ruckman will play his first game after knee surgery back in January.
Lang will similarly return to the fold after a foot injury delayed his start to the 2019 season. Kreuzer has been named in the ruck, while Lang has been named to feature across half-forward.
The duo makes up two of 18 Carlton-listed players which makes up a very extended squad of 29 for the Northern Blues’ first game of the VFL year.
With Carlton to play on Sunday, all eight members of the AFL extended interchange have been named. The VFL team will be cut down in line with the AFL team announcement tomorrow.
Eleven club debutants have been named in the extended squad, including new Carlton recruits Alex Fasolo and Hugh Goddard. Draftees Ben Silvagni and Finbar O’Dwyer have also been named on the 11-man bench.
In the No.50 guernsey, captain Tom Wilson will kick off his ninth season at the Club as one of 11 VFL-listed players. Sunday’s game will begin at 1pm from GMHBA Stadium.
