Carlton great David Rhys-Jones has the honour of delivering the match ball to the umpires for Carlton's Round 1 clash with Port Adelaide on Sunday night at Etihad Stadium.
Rhys-Jones played 106 games for the Blues from 1985-92 and also played in Carlton's 1987 Premiership triumph over Hawthorn – winning the Norm Smith Medal.
The former deputy vice-captain was last year inducted into the Carlton Hall of Fame.
