IT'S BEGINNING to look a lot like pre-season.
For the third straight year, the Carlton Media studios are playing host to the Summer Sessions podcast - and keeping with tradition, the Blues' first pick from the draft 12 months ago is the very special guest.
On the back of two memorable cameos as sub in his first season, Moir is dreaming of bigger things in Navy Blue. That's his first priority.
Then comes Fortnite, Dawson's Creek and Reels. In that order, Vossy.

20 - New season, new set. Fortnite was momentarily put aside as Ashton Moir joined the show - a request 12 months in the making. In positive news, we’ve already got next year’s first guest lined up.
10 - He was feeling the pressure before coming on, but pressure makes diamonds. After all, for Ashton, there ain’t no mountain high enough. It took all of 60 seconds for the first mention of Jesse Motlop and Corey Durdin.
20 - Ash and the Camporeale boys? They go way back. Apologies to anyone listening from Prince Alfred College.
00 - There was an off-season period where he went the longest he’s ever gone without Fortnite. It was two weeks. There was a missed opportunity for a Fortnite/fortnight gag he somewhere.
30 - Snapchat memories were getting a workout a year on from becoming a Blue.
00 - Footy chat gets interrupted by the realisation that a certain word hasn’t been used by Ashton in the opening six minutes of the podcast. Truly incredible stuff.

05 - The difference between thinking and knowing what AFL footy is like is going to hold Ash in good stead this summer.

40 - What’s the main piece of advice for Ash in year two? Spoiler alert: the answer is a wholesome one.
30 - Ash reminisces on getting told he’d be making his debut, by someone who he “grew up watching”. That’s a scary thought.
40 - Charlie Curnow’s leadership shone through at a crucial time for the young Blue.
30 - The love of the game? That’s not leaving anytime soon. Ash is a happy guy, an emotional guy…
15 - … especially when it comes to Dawson’s Creek. This is officially where the podcast takes a turn. It’s Ash’s “favourite show of all time”.
00 - Ash didn’t grow up with posters of players on his wall, but he’s got a poster of someone on his wall now that’s pretty Swift.

00 - To quote AJ, Big Justice and the Rizzler, taekwondo is a doom for Ash, but it was famously a boom for his parents.
30 - That first goal feeling is still something that Ash looks back on fondly. Even if a Brownlow invite - where he would’ve brought his mum - got snatched away from him.
00 - Ashton makes a public apology for lying in a Carlton Media interview post-debut. We forgive you brother.
10 - A moment from Corey Durdin in a time of struggle was a mark of the man and a great mate.

10 - “Oh no, Mum’s going to kill me.”
50 - Ashton Moir, big Star Wars fan.
52 - Ashton Moir, big Lord of the Rings fan.
00 - The podcast is wrapping up, and Ash sighs. That’s never happened before.
