CAN'T STOP, won't stop.

Patrick Cripps now sits in second place on the AFLCA leaderboard after polling eight votes against North Melbourne.

Cripps was instrumental in the Blues' win over the Roos, especially keeping his side within touching distance in the first half when the team's chips were down.

Totalling a team-high 29 disposals (19 in the first half), 14 contested possessions and nine score involvements, it was a true captain’s performance from the 29-year-old.

Sitting just six votes behind leader Isaac Heeney, Cripps has now polled 37 votes in his last five games.

Charlie Curnow received two votes after his four-goal haul, becoming the first player in the AFL to reach 50 goals this year in the process.

After a quiet start, Curnow came to life when the Blues needed him, kicking three of his goals in his customary third-quarter blitz in a performance which saw him pick up 15 disposals, nine marks and eight score involvements.

Tom De Koning and Adam Saad both polled one vote, with the pair playing their respective roles around the ground to great effect.

Despite playing under duress, De Koning made his presence felt when the Blues started to surge, delivering 11 contested possessions, eight clearances and seven score involvements.

Down back, Saad was a stalwart, delivering his customary run and breaking the game open through the corridor while also providing some key defensive moments.

Delivering 10 intercept possessions and gaining 578 metres, Saad was instrumental in stopping the ball in transition and then moving it forward, while he added his first goal in three years to cap off a strong showing.
