WELCOME back, Adam Cerra.

Carlton has welcomed back its smooth midfielder for this Sunday’s clash against Richmond, making one change for the return to the MCG.

It will be Cerra’ first game since Round 9, making his return from a hamstring strain to round out the Blues’ midfield complement.

Asked about the 24-year-old’s availability on Friday, AFL Senior Coach Michael Voss said the Blues have taken a conservative approach with Cerra over recent weeks.

“Certainly Adam has put a fair bit of work in over the last seven or eight weeks: we’ve probably held that a bit longer than we needed to, to try and get a couple of extra sessions under his belt.”

Cerra is the solitary inclusion for the Blues, with Corey Durdin - who has been the sub in the last two weeks - making way.

After penning contract extensions to stay at IKON Park in recent days, Blake Acres and Elijah Hollands will both front up again or the Blues, while Zac Williams will play his 150th AFL game.

Named in the extended squad last night, Caleb Marchbank, Jesse Motlop and Marc Pittonet have been named as emergencies.
