PUT ON your running shoes, because there is a race to be run!
A handful of Carlton's celebrity supporters are dusting off their running shoes for a special, one-night-only event at the MCG.
Taking place at the annual AFL Carlton Respects Game, the 'Race for Respect' will bring together a few of Carlton's most popular supporters plus local primary schools to compete on the biggest stage at the MCG.
Fans can put their support behind beloved Blue Ed Curnow, radio host (and former AFLW runner) Andy Maher, educator and advocate Shelley Ware and television personality Jason Richardson.
Stay tuned as more teams will be announced in the lead-up to the game!
The Club confirmed details for the upcoming ninth annual AFL Carlton Respects Game earlier in the week, revealing the important night will take place in Round 15 against Geelong.
Established in 2016 in response to the alarming statistics surrounding domestic and family violence, the Carlton Respects initiative aims to strive for respect and equality for a future free of violence.
Aside from throwing their support behind their favourite teams, donations will help raise funds to support the Carlton Respects 'Road to Respect' school program - a free, digital learning platform and face-to-face program for primary school students in Grades 3 to 6.
