KEY PILLARS down both ends of the ground impressed the coaches in Carlton's Gather Round clash.
Jacob Weitering and Charlie Curnow were both awarded four votes each for their efforts against Fremantle at Adelaide Oval.
Weitering was instrumental in holding up the defensive line, gathering 21 disposals, 12 marks and seven intercept possessions, spending 100 per cent of time on the ground.
In his second outing since his return from injury, the 26-year-old showed class, experience and leadership as his side faced a challenging Dockers outfit.
Down the opposite end, tall forward Charlie Curnow slotted three goals, inspiring a lift in his teammates when they needed it the most.
Curnow also contributed six score involvements and six contested possessions from 12 disposals, putting his body on the line to assist the Blues’ in the forward half.
The two-time Coleman Medal winner now sits third on the leaderboard, with 13 goals in 2024.
