THE BLUES will travel to GMHBA Stadium to face the Cats in an almighty battle to start the 2024 season on a high.
The last time these two sides met was Round 2 of the 2023 season where Geelong just came out victors by one point at IKON Park.
This time, Carlton will want to flip the narrative and snatch the four points away from home.
A very different side will line up for the Blues this season, with only five remaining players from 2023 taking the field in Round 1, but plenty of VFLW and AFLW experience will enter the fray.
Both co-captains Eliza Wood and Octavia Di Donato will line up at opposite ends of the ground in their first official game at the helm, looking to stamp their leadership style early on an emerging group.
This squad will feature nine AFLW-listed players who have made significant impacts on the field at both levels.

Ciara Fitzgerald, Brooke Vickers, Keeley Skepper, Keeley Sherar, Mia Austin and Lulu Beatty will suit up this weekend in the Navy Blue.
They will be joined by Maddie Guerin, who will don the Navy Blue again for the first time since injuring her ACL in pre-season last year, while Lila Keck and Meg Robertson will have their first hitouts as Carlton players.
