The Northern Blues will take to Ikon Park for the first time this VFL season when they host Frankston on Sunday afternoon.
In the first of six games at the venue to close out the year, the Blues will host the Dolphins in a game where either Northern Blues or Carlton members are entitled to free entry.
With Carlton playing on the Saturday afternoon, Northern is set to have its full complement of available AFL-listed players, with draftees David Cuningham and Jack Silvagni in line to front up for the Blues.
Pending selection, the likes of Kristian Jaksch and Nick Graham - both who were in stellar form in the Blues’ last game against Coburg in an emotional win a fortnight ago – could also be in the frame.
Also in line for a return is in-form Northern Blues captain Tom Wilson, who missed the past two matches prior to the weekend’s bye after suffering a serious concussion in Round 5.
However, one man who won’t be available for selection is Dylan Buckley, who will serve the final match of his two-game suspension.
The last time the Blues hosted the Dolphins, Northern triumphed by a record-breaking 157 points in a curtain raiser at Etihad Stadium.
The clash with Frankston gets underway on Sunday at 2pm.
