CARLTON forward Jack Silvagni has re-signed with the Club for a further two years.
The third-generation Blue will remain at IKON Park until at least the end of 2025.
Showcasing impressive versatility, Silvagni spent time in both the ruck and forward, whilst also strengthening his defensive craft in the VFL this season.
With flexibility a hallmark of his career, Silvagni has averaged 13.6 disposals across in his 115 senior appearances to date.
Silvagni also stepped up into the ruck role for the Blues for a period this year in the absence of both Tom De Koning and Marc Pittonet.
Before an injury setback in Round 19, Silvagni had a standout game against Port Adelaide in Round 18, with 19 disposals, 10 hitouts, four tackles and four goals. His performance earned him 10 ALFCA votes, a first for his career.
Silvagni arrived at IKON Park at the end of 2015, making his debut in Round 15, 2016 against Collingwood.
In Round 1, the Silvagni family was further etched in football folklore with Jack Silvagni playing his 100th game, becoming the first time three generations in the same family have played a century of games for the same club.
Carlton Head of List Management Nick Austin said the Club was pleased to re-sign Silvagni for two more years.
“It is great Jack has recommitted to the Club until 2025. Jack consistently puts his body on the line for the Club and has that competitive edge which we love,” Austin said.
“Along with his football smarts, his versatility to play on all areas of the ground is a real asset for us and we look forward to evolving his role further in the coming years.
“Once out on the field he always gives 100 per cent, and we are glad today’s announcement recognises the hard work he continues to put in both on and off the field.”
