CARLTON has called upon Zac Fisher for the Round 21 clash with St Kilda.
After a best-on-ground performance for the Carlton Reserves last weekend (30 disposals, six inside 50s), Fisher will play his first AFL game since Round 12, given the Blues some extra zip under the Marvel Stadium roof.
The other change to the starting 22 comes in the form of Paddy Dow, who - after starting last weekend as sub - was confirmed as a direct midfield replacement for Adam Cerra by Michael Voss on Friday.
The substitute will come from one of the four emergencies in Jaxon Binns, Ed Curnow, Sam Durdin and Josh Honey, with confirmation to be made an hour before the bounce.
Despite meeting the Saints earlier this season, it’ll be a markedly different Blues team to the equivalent of Round 6, based on personnel alone: pending sub announcement, there are 12 changes to the Carlton side compared to the last time the teams met.
While the Blues may be without some key names, they will have Sam Docherty and Adam Saad to call upon, as well as the quintet of Matthew Cottrell, David Cuningham, 50-gamer Lachie Fogarty, Jack Martin and Matthew Owies, who have been crucial to Carlton’s forward mix in recent weeks.
