BACK on the board.
After scoring a perfect 10 in the AFLCA votes last week, Charlie Curnow received nine votes for his performance against Collingwood, which saw the star forward slot six goals in another comprehensive outing.
Also winning the Richard Pratt Medal for the performance, Curnow has recorded 52 AFLCA votes to now sit 15th on the AFLCA's Champion Player of the Year leaderboard – the highest of any Carlton player.
Next up was Nic Newman polling seven votes, who continued a career-best 2023 season with another outstanding performance on Friday night.
In the 17-point win against Collingwood, Newman accumulated team-high totals for disposals (27) and contested possessions (11), while also posting nine intercept possessions and seven tackles in an assertive performance across half-back.
Fellow defender Jacob Weitering received five votes, where the general down back delivered 10 intercept possessions – an equal game-high along with Collingwood defender Darcy Moore.
Along with that, he delivered 11 marks and nine rebound 50s, keeping Brody Mihocek goalless as he held up his defensive 50 against a surging Collingwood outfit.
Forward Jack Martin polled four votes, as the 28-year-old continued to prove himself as a reliable target inside 50.
Slotting three goals, Martin was lively in the forward line and gave his team plenty of opportunities to hit the scoreboard as a crucial part of the Blues' attacking mix.
Rounding out the votes was skipper Patrick Cripps, who was given two votes for his physical showing.
Totalling a game-high 10 tackles, Cripps was as combative as ever in the middle, filling the void of some missing personnel to contribute 10 tackles and a team-high 24 pressure acts.
