GEORGE Hewett was keen to spread the love.

The Carlton on-baller joined RSN Breakfast on Tuesday morning with the Blues’ last month firmly on the agenda.

The energy and passion the whole team has been playing with has been evident. But when running out on game day, who fuels that?

Hewett was asked for the one player that is “heart and soul” that he loves running out alongside on game day.

He chose one. Across every line. And then a few extra defenders.

Credit to the backs.

“I think there are four or five that come to mind,” Hewett said.

“Charlie Curnow gets credit for his highlights, but if you watch him, he’s probably lost one one-on-one contest all year.

“In the midfield, you’ve got ‘Crippa’ who has led the way for how we want to play in applying pressure and being physical.

“Then, down back, you’ve got Nic Newman and Jacob Weitering that have held the standards all year, plus Adam Saad. We’ve got a lot, but I’m probably being biased!”
