REWARD for effort.

Jack Silvagni has received a perfect 10 AFLCA votes for his performance in the Blues’ 50-point win over the Power.

Silvagni - who also assisted Tom De Koning as a rotating ruckman - contributed four goals, 11 score involvements and 19 disposals in what was his best game in his career to date.

Patrick Cripps received eight votes - which sees the captain poll for the fourth game in a row - as the skipper continued impressive form with a team-high 12 contested possessions, 11 score involvements and 10 clearances.

This sees Cripps creep into the top 20 on the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year leaderboard (46 votes), with Cerra leading the Blues in 17th position (49 votes) despite not polling this week.

De Koning, Charlie Curnow and Nic Newman were all awarded two votes for their roles in the comprehensive victory against Port Adelaide.

De Koning did well in his return from injury, battling hard as the main ruckman to finish with 33 hitouts, nine contested possessions and seven score involvements. Taking on the brunt of the ruck work, the Blues finished with a +12 hitout differential, as De Koning got the better of the experienced Scott Lycett.

Along with three goals, Curnow was crucial in the forward 50, contributing a game-high 12 score involvements, 10 contested possessions and five inside 50s. While his reward on the scoreboard came late, it was Curnow's ability to toil away - in the absence of Harry McKay - and provide a focal point for the small forwards that was crucial in the Carlton win.

Continuing a strong season, Newman capped off another impressive performance, with the defender delivering 555 metres gained, seven intercept possessions and 19 pressure acts in his defensive half: he capped it off with a final-quarter goal.
