TEN TOPS the table.
Adam Cerra polled a perfect score in the AFLCA Coaches Association votes this week, after another outstandingly consistent performance.
Cerra - who now sits on 39 votes for the year, the most of any Blue - contributed 27 disposals, nine score involvements, seven tackles and two goals in was a dominant game for the 23-year-old midfielder.
He wasn't alone, with three players tied on five votes for their performance – Sam Walsh, Jacob Weitering and Harry McKay.
Walsh - who turned 23 on the day of the game - picked up 25 disposals and seven tackles, while it was Walsh’s 13 score involvements that made his game so electric, setting up his teammates at every opportunity possible.
Weitering delivered nine intercept possessions, with his strong overhead marking being a standout of his game. He cut off the Hawks’ forward entries on numerous occasions, particularly in the first half, where he was arguably best afield as the Blues kept their opponents goalless.
Along with his two goals, McKay also had 19 disposals, eight marks and gained 488 metres, using his influence further up the ground to instigate scoring chains while also contributing in front of the big sticks.
Receiving three votes from the coaches was Blake Acres, who put together a solid game with his non-stop running across the wing: he ended with 22 disposals, a third-quarter goal and 436 metres gained.
Rounding out the votes was the skipper in Patrick Cripps, whose leadership was exemplified by his 28 disposals, 10 score involvements and eight clearances, doing his best to get the ball out of the contest and in constant movement.
