The bond between Carlton and the Darebin Falcons runs deep. AFLW player Jess Dal Pos, who proudly represents Carlton and is sponsored by Carlton Pride, has a remarkable connection to the Falcons. Before joining the Blues, Dal Pos honed her skills as a player within the Darebin Falcons VFLW team.

Despite her transition to Carlton, Dal Pos continues to contribute to the Falcons' legacy by dedicating her time as a coach in the Falcons’ Academy. The program provides aspiring young female players with an opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills in the game of football.

2022 AFLW co-captain, Darcy Vescio, has also emerged as a powerful LGBTQIA+ representation in the sporting world. Beyond their remarkable skills in the field, Vescio has become an advocate for inclusivity and acceptance, particularly within the LGBTQIA+ community. Vescio also played with the Darebin Falcons before their AFLW career and is still involved in coaching there to this day.

Tomorrow's clash between Carlton and Darebin Falcons will be held at Ikon Park, providing a significant venue where the rich history of both clubs and their connection to the LGBTQIA+ community will be celebrated.
