A CLEAN sweep in a much-needed win.
Six Blues have received coaches' votes in their dominant performance against the Suns.
It’s no surprise the top-four votegetters were midfielders, with Carlton’s work in the centre clearances a highlight of its game.
Kicking off is Adam Cerra, who was arguably best on ground for Carlton, reflected in his nine votes from Michael Voss and Stuart Dew.
Amassing 27 disposals, 17 contested possessions, eight clearances and two goals, Cerra was everywhere in the Blues’ 59-point win, being a key distributor from the contest while setting the tone with his tackle pressure from the outset.
Skipper Patrick Cripps polled eight votes for his comprehensive performance, with the 28-year-old truly leading from the front.
Similar to Cerra, Cripps’ main efforts were in the contest, where he totalled 14 contested possessions and seven clearances, as well as contributing three goals and 11 score involvements.
Sam Docherty was another solid contributor starting on the wing, picking up 32 disposals and gaining a game-high 518 metres, delivering the ball with speed and accuracy downfield.
Sam Walsh was dynamic with his running at both ends, resulting in four coaches' votes for the 22-year-old.
Despite not getting a goal himself, Walsh managed 11 score involvements and seven inside 50s, and was crucial in getting his team opportunities in the front half.
Rounding out the votes were Brodie Kemp and Tom De Koning, who both received a singular vote.
Kemp was a rock down back for the Blues, totalling 11 intercept possessions in his role as an intercept defender, while De Koning delivered a strong performance rotating between the ruck and forward, kicking two goals in his 50th career game.
