Carlton could blood three more debutants in Saturday's Anzac Day clash with St Kilda in Wellington.
Mark Whiley, Matt Dick and Blaine Boekhorst have all been named in an extended 25-man squad.
Whiley was traded to Carlton from Greater Western Sydney last year, after playing 12 AFL games for the Giants.
The 22-year-old impressed for the Northern Blues last weekend, gathering 28 possessions against Williamstown.
Carlton secured Dick as a delisted free agent after the 20-year-old spent two seasons with Sydney.
Meanwhile Boekhorst, a 21-year-old from Western Australia, was the Blues' first-round draft selection in the 2014 National Draft.
The Blues have retained Cameron Wood in the ruck, while Kristian Jaksch is a chance to return from injury.
Chris Yarran has been ruled out through suspension, while young Irishman Ciaran Byrne will miss the game after straining his hamstring at training.
Carlton's final 22 will be named on Thursday evening.
