Carlton President Mark LoGiudice says there are no “mixed messages” when it comes to the Blues' development.
The Blues have publically acknowledged they need to add depth to their list – but LoGiudice says that’s no surprise to Carlton supporters.
“I think our supporters know where we are at,” he told 3AW before Saturday’s game.
“In the off-season we put out our new strategic plan (and now) we thought it was best to come out and say, look, the Carlton Football Club needs to rebuild the depth on its list,” he said.
LoGiudice says Carlton has already begun enacting its strategic plan, the Key Drivers of Success, by in one instance, bolstering the Club’s recruiting department.
The president says he firmly believes past administrators did their absolute best, but areas needing improvement have been identified and those areas are being worked on.
“It’s about building a list, and building an organisation for sustained success that will give us the opportunity to win a premiership,” he said.
