THE TEAM is in for the Blues’ trip to Queensland for the VFL semi final.
For the third consecutive week, Carlton will be playing to keep their season alive when it travels interstate for the second time this year to face in Brisbane. The game kicks off at 12:05pm tomorrow, with the game to be broadcast live on Channel 7.
Looking for a win to continue their finals run, the Blues will look to repeat the performance from all the way back in Round 1, when they defeated a Lions outfit which ultimately finished second in the home-and-away season.
In a big boost for the side, Carlton-listed ruckman Alex Mirkov will return to the side after missing the last two weeks with a cut knee.
Archie Stevens will also return to the side, having played six games for the Blues throughout the 2022 season, including a season-best performance against the Giants where he slotted three goals. The versatile Matt Shannon has also been named for his fifth game of the campaign.
After injuries sustained late in last weekend's win, Zavier Maher (shoulder) and David Handley (hamstring) come out of the side, while Josh Cripps has been omitted.
In terms of AFL-listed Blues, Will Setterfield, Liam Stocker and Paddy Dow will look to replicate their outstanding individual performances in the elimination final, alongside Dom Akuei, Jack Carroll, Sam Durdin, Will Hayes, Brodie Kemp and Jesse Motlop.
