LUCY McEvoy was the highest polling Blue in Thursday night’s season opener, tallying six AFLCA votes in the Blues' clash with the Pies.
McEvoy overcame injury, ticking all the boxes to make a Round 1 return from pre-season shoulder surgery and was influential for Carlton on the night.
Off half back, she recorded 24 disposals, 10 intercepts, seven rebounds and six tackles, providing a sense of composure with ball in hand that was much needed for the Blues.
Reliable, clean and hard at the contest.
