If there is one positive to come out of Saturday night’s loss in Sydney it is the venue for Carlton’s NAB Challenge match this weekend. The Blues will not only play in Melbourne but will play at the traditional home of the Carlton Football Club, Visy Park.  Plus entry will be free to 2010 Carlton Members.

On Friday at 4:00pm Carlton and Brisbane will do battle in the first of Carlton’s three NAB Challenge matches over the next three weekends.

The Friday afternoon match, commencing at 4:00pm, may not be a traditional starting time and neither will the view for spectators be traditional as they will, for the first time, see an AFL game at Visy Park played in front of the new facilities at the venue.

Of course the real benefit for Carlton members is free entry to Friday afternoon’s match. Entry to NAB Challenge matches is free for competing Club and AFL members.

“This is certainly a bonus for our 2010 Members, almost like an extra game as part of their membership and playing at Visy Park is fantastic for everyone. The players will enjoy the wonderful surface and I am sure Carlton fans in particular will love having a game at Visy Park,” said Carlton CEO Greg Swann.

Membership will be on sale outside the ground on Friday afternoon. Entry to the ground will be via Gates 4 and 5 which will open at 3:00pm.
