CARLTON has three more chances to add to its brood of potential father-son recruits, following the news midfielder Andrew Carrazzo and his wife Yvette are expecting triplets.

The sex of the babies, who are due in January, has not been revealed.

Triplets are considered rare, accounting for only one in approximately 5,000 births.

Carrazzo has played 139 games for the Blues, making the children eligible for father-son selection at Visy Park.

The news comes just six weeks after Chris Judd and his wife Rebecca delighted the Carlton faithful (and optimistic West Coast supporters) by giving birth to a son, Oscar.

Judd, who played 134 of his 221 career games at West Coast, only needs to play another 13 games in the navy blue for baby Oscar to qualify for the father-son status at a second club.

Carrazzo's welcome baby announcement adds to a prosperous September for the Blues, who recorded their first finals win in 10 years over rivals Essendon at the MCG last weekend.

Carrazzo played an important part in the club's 62-point win, keeping Bombers captain Jobe Watson to 21 possessions.
