Her life has seen two World Wars and The Great Depression. It’s also taken in 13 Carlton Grand Final conquests, from Norman “Hackenschmidt” Clark’s heroes of 1914 through to “The Record Breakers” of ’95...

... and on that score, Eva Lipton wouldn’t have it any other way.

Here’s Eva, decked out in her beloved Blues scarf, recently pictured with members of her extended family on the occasion of her 100th birthday.

Raised in Princes Hill and educated at the local Princes Hill State School, Eva first fronted for Carlton matches more than 85 years ago, when the likes of “Horrie” Clover and Ray Brew hunted the leather at the old ground.

To this day, Eva still flicks the dial of the radio or the telly to follow the fortunes of her favourite team, while her son, three grandsons & six great grandchildren maintain the grand Lipton tradition by being there on Carlton matchdays.
