DJILA-DIRRI-WAT.

Game on.

Carlton’s digital graphics will embrace the occasion this week, in celebration of the first time where the Game Changers will wear their Indigenous guernsey on their home deck.

Fittingly, the hero text in Carlton’s graphics will incorporate Woi Wurrung language.

Provided by Wurundjeri elder Aunty Di Kerr, tonight’s team selection and tomorrow’s game day graphics will respectively read Magooloo-dhan marra goring (The team is in) and Djili-dirri-wat (Game on).

The inaugural AFLW Indigenous Round took place last year, when Carlton took on North Melbourne in Tasmania. Then, last week, the Blues played away and were unable to wear their own Indigenous guernsey due to a jumper clash with opponent Greater Western Sydney.

So, the opportunity to wear the Club’s Indigenous guernsey at home at IKON Park for the first ever time will be one which the playing group is sure to lap up.

There will also be a gift exchange between the Blues and Suns prior to the 5:10pm bounce.
