RELIEF, and excitement at the prospect of more to come.

There’s no denying that it has been a tough month for the Game Changers, who overturned recent form to record a comprehensive victory on Saturday evening.

Recording their lowest-ever score against, the Blues produced a true four-quarter performance to once again hear the famous song ring out on the old Carlton ground.

Three key contributors were Georgia Gee, Breann Moody and Darcy Vescio: this is what they had to say.

Vescio on the long-awaited feeling of victory:

"It’s a good feeling. It’s been a tough few weeks but it’s nice to come out here on a beautiful day in front of a home crowd and have a dominant win.

"Obviously you want to come out and win but that hasn’t been us in the last few weeks. We’ve had to keep working and stick to our processes and hope the result will come.

"The girls have been awesome. We’re just trying to keep our heads up and keep playing good footy."

Moody on the collective effort:

"It’s awesome to hear the song again… it was a massive team effort. ‘Goody’ kicked a snag and the intensity was high.

"We knew they would be physical and the intensity would be high from the get go. It was about making sure we went harder and we stood with them throughout the game… we really wanted to finish off all four quarters.

"Hopefully we keep the momentum rolling for the rest of the season: we’re really looking forward to heading up to Canberra next weekend."

Gee on the Game Changers bringing their strengths:

"It makes it a lot more fun coming out here and getting a win. We’ve had a tough few weeks, but it was awesome to get another win on the board.

"We trained it throughout the week, we wanted to play our own brand of footy and I think we definitely showed that. It’s exciting for the coming weeks, hopefully we can keep it going."

Watch the best of Georgia Gee in the Round 7 win.
