Carlton captain Marc Murphy has spent the morning showing off some Chivalry at Flemington.
Although the captain is most courteous, it was the hairy four-legged variety of Chivalry that he had his eye on this morning – trainer Mark Kavanagh's $7.50 hope in Saturday's Blue Diamond Stakes.
Murphy was visiting Kavanagh's stables in his capacity as an ambassador for Relaxed Racing.
Chivalry proved chivalrous … to a point. The racehorse obliged in posing for photos with the Carlton captain before getting a little restless and giving Murphy a nudge.
"I got a bit of a nipple cripple there," Murphy laughed. "But it's a great horse."
It wasn't the first time Murphy and Melbourne Cup winning trainer Kavanagh had crossed paths – they both had an interest in the horse Gone In A Minute, which was unfortunately as the name suggested an never won a race.
