Carlton has placed young forward Harry McKay on its long-term injury list.
McKay, 18, recently suffered a stress reaction in his lower back, which will continue to sideline him for approximately two months.
Head of Football Andrew McKay said the key position forward did not require surgery and had commenced rehabilitation for the injury.
“Unfortunately for Harry this has been a tough start to his AFL career, but he is fully focused on his recovery and we will support him through this period,” McKay said.
The Club has not named a replacement for McKay at this stage.
Drafted with Carlton’s second first-round selection in the 2015 NAB AFL Draft, McKay was a consistent performer in the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships. A product of Gippsland Power, McKay was also named in the Under-18 All-Australian team in 2015.
