2021 IS done and Bluebaggers can now look forward to what the 2022 season has to offer.
As well as a fresh start under Michael Voss, there are five new Blues that have arrived at IKON Park over the off-season.

Domanic Akuei
The first ever player to join the Club from the Carlton Academy, Domanic Akuei was selected as a Category B rookie by the Blues.
Playing for the Northern Knights, the defender came to Carlton through its Next Generation Academy, after being born in Sudan.
Most comfortable in the backline, Akuei boasts an impressive vertical leap which also saw him pinch-hit in the ruck in the NAB League.
As well as a strong intercept game, fans can look forward to seeing Akuei developing his craft down back, with his ability to both lock down his direct opponent and get involved in offence.
Adam Cerra
The Blues picked up Adam Cerra in the 2021 Continental Tyres Trade Period, after a deal was struck with the Fremantle Football Club.
The young midfielder made a name for himself at the Dockers, impressing all comers with his clearance work and inside 50 ability.
Featuring in the 22under22 side for the last two seasons, Cerra is very much a hybrid midfielder in that he can do damage on both the inside and outside of the contest.
Cerra will be an important addition to the Carlton midfield in 2022, working alongside the likes of Sam Walsh, Ed Curnow and Patrick Cripps. Having just turned 22 in October, the recruit has plenty of time to add to his already impressive resume.
George Hewett
Arriving at IKON Park as a free agent, George Hewett brings 120 games of experience, including a Grand Final appearance in 2016.
Known for his midfield prowess at Sydney, Hewett has a high work rate and is a prolific ball winner, demonstrating his consistency across six playing seasons at the Swans.
After waiting two years for his debut at the Swans (Round 1 of 2016), Hewett went on to play over 20 games in five of the next six seasons.
The combative Hewett is just as highly regarded for his work off the ball, earning a reputation for his tackling prowess and ability to tag a direct opponent out of the game if required.
Jesse Motlop
Jesse Motlop was selected by the Blues with pick No.27 in the 2021 NAB AFL Draft.
Hailing from the same high school as skipper Patrick Cripps, Motlop is an electric small forward with football running in his blood.
The son of former North Melbourne and Port Adelaide player Daniel, Motlop has a keen insight into what it takes to make it in the AFL system.
The newly turned 18-year-old played senior football in the WAFL for the majority of the season, making his opponents pay in the forward 50 with his natural ability and football smarts in front of goal.
Already producing high-quality football as an underage talent against senior bodies, the best is yet to come for Motlop at the Blues.
Lewis Young
Lewis Young arrived at the Blues as a key defender from the Western Bulldogs.
Making his debut for the Dogs against the Blues back in 2017, the 22-year old proved his wares as an intercept defender through his five years at the Bulldogs, although also demonstrated his versatility by having extended spells in the ruck.
Young will slide into Carlton's backline well, standing at 201cm, with his reading of the play and sure hands in the air his main asset.
Looking to push for selection among the current defensive crop, Young - who turned 23 a fortnight ago - played in two finals in 2021 and has already impressed with his work ethic in pre-season so far.
